Enterprise Acceleration Program - Microsoft

As Creative Director, I led a team of 35 to help third-party partners explore how Mixed Reality with HoloLens could enhance their business operations. Operating as two multi-disciplinary units, my team conducted concurrent six-week envisioning workshops. Each workshop involved guiding partners through our creative process, prototyping key ideas, and delivering a playable Mixed Reality demo, an overview video, and development documentation.

My role was to coordinate workshop activities, ensure partner satisfaction, provide prototyping guidance, and manage the design team. This structure enabled us to deliver innovative solutions tailored to each partner’s needs efficiently and effectively.

SAAB Defense

Partnering with SAAB Defense, we utilized their military-grade mapping data to develop a holographic battlefield command and control scenario. The system enabled real-time unit tracking, facilitating coordinated engagements to achieve mission objectives with minimal losses.

IMPACT

  • This partnership led to numerous other mixed reality map visualization & control app explorations from traffic control to emergency response.

  • SAAB landed a defense contract with the Royal Australian Airforce to further develop this concept.

ThyssenKrupp

In collaboration with ThyssenKrupp Elevators, we reimagined their chairlift installation process using HoloLens to overcome the limitations of their existing photogrammetry techniques. The traditional method required specialized technicians to spend hours in customers' homes, often resulting in a 2-week or longer process.

Leveraging Mixed Reality, we developed a solution to drastically reduce the time needed for stairway scanning while maintaining millimeter-accurate measurements, streamlining the installation process for both customers and technicians.

IMPACT

  • Reduced chairlift scanning process from 2 weeks to 15 minutes using Hololens.

  • Eliminated the need for a specialist; the step-by-step process is now manageable by a salesman in a single customer visit.

  • Improved customer experience by introducing holographic previews of the finished product at home with customized purchase options.
